What Is Immersive Audio?
Immersive audio is a cutting-edge technology that provides a more realistic and natural listening experience by delivering sound from all directions. Instead of being limited to traditional stereo sound systems that deliver sound from just two speakers, immersive audio creates a 360-degree soundscape that surrounds the listener with sound from all around them.

For music enthusiasts, immersive audio provides a new level of listening experience that fully captures the essence and emotion of music. Instead of listening to music on traditional stereo systems, you can now immerse yourself in a 360-degree soundscape that fully surrounds you with the music. It's like being in the same room as the artist, feeling every note and texture in a way that was never before possible.

How does it work?
Immersive audio works by using object-based audio to deliver sound in a more flexible and precise way. Each sound element is assigned its own position in a virtual 3D space, allowing sound designers to create more dynamic and realistic soundscapes. This means that sounds can move seamlessly around the listener, creating a sense of depth and dimensionality that was never before possible.

One of the most popular immersive audio technologies on the market today is Dolby Atmos. With Dolby Atmos, sound is delivered not only around the listener, but also from above and below. This creates a truly 3D audio experience that can be incredibly immersive, allowing you to feel like you're in the middle of the action, whether you're listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a video game.

The beauty of the Dolby Atmos mixes is that they adapt to any configuration of speakers, so if you don't like stuff flying across your head, you can still listen to the same immersive mix in two speakers. Hell, it might sound even better than if it was mixed in just stereo.

How to Listen

For the time being, listening to an Atmos reference file before uploading the master to the DSP for streaming requires headphones. Listening with any 'regular' headphones will give you a fairly immersive binaural experience. Although supported headphones like the 'Apple Airpods' may have a better experience.

Downloading and listening from an iPhone is the preferred method of checking Atmos mixes for approval. If you have Apple AirPods, make sure to set the headphones to “spatial” on your iPhone’s headphone settings.
As you download the file onto your phone, it will be placed into the “downloads” folder. Play it from the “downloads” folder.

Dolby Atmos MP4

To demonstrate the difference between Atmos and Stereo,
We have uploaded lossless flac versions of the stereo and binaural re-render files (for easier playback) and a Dolby Atmos encoded MP4 of this song.
The Player above will allow for simultaneous toggling between the stereo and Atmos versions of the track

The Stereo mix can be played on any device (Speakers, Headphones, etc.), although the 'Binaural Mix' should be played on headphones for the best immersive experience (any headphones would work.

The Atmos MP4 can be played via the method mentioned on this page below or can be played through any surround sound AV receiver or SoundBar.

Feel Free to download the MP4 to your Phone or USB stick to play it on the following to experience in the best possible way.
